Weirton police arrest man for property damage at McDonald’s

WEIRTON -- Weirton police, on Sunday, arrested an individual in relation to reports of rocks being thrown through several windows and a door at the McDonald's restaurant on Three Springs Drive.

Malone Nashon Lynn, 33, with no fixed address, is being held at West Virginia Northern Regional Jail on a $3,000 surety/cash bond. He faces felony charges of destruction of property.

According to a report released Tuesday morning by Police Chief Charlie Kush, officers were dispatched to McDonald's, 234 Three Springs Drive, at approximately 5:30 a.m. Sunday in reference to rocks being thrown through five large windows and one door. Employees reportedly were working in the back of the restaurant at the time of the incident.

The report notes the value of the destroyed property was more than $2,500.

Officers obtained a description of the individual, identified as Lynn, and his vehicle using on-site video cameras, later locating both on Park Drive. After speaking with Lynn, officers placed him under arrest and transported him to the police department headquarters and then to the Northern Regional Jail.
