| | Returning to bloggingMarch 26, 2009 - Summer Wallace-MingerSo Jeremy asked me to blog again, very politely. So I will do it. Not that I was avoiding it before, but I was pretty busy. And really, I save all the good stuff for my column. I would just stick my column in this space, but they already are running it on the DT site, so it would be kind of pointless. So now I have to think of something else entertaining at least once a week. I think I will do these blogs on Thursdays, when I update my Web page for my weekly paper. Well, it's not mine, it's the company's, but I put it together. I have a new plant, and it is trying to give up the ghost on me. Angelina (our city reporter) is trying to help me save him. His name is Matt-the-plant, and he's a daffodil. But he's droopy, so I put him on the windowsill so he could get more light. And I'm going to get some plant sticks. I am always killing plants. They get within 10 feet of me and they start withering and dying. Matt-the-plant was doing good when I got him -- nice, straight green stalks, little buds. Poor Matt-the-plant. He got to close to me. I am poison to plants. The only thing that ever grew for me was crocuses. And then a wild rabbit snuck into my yard, dug them up and ate the majority of them. My yard looked good for two-three weeks, and this dumb rabbit had to ruin it. I've got maybe 10 left. I want to be a nuturer, but we'll see. Maybe I'll use this blog to keep updates on Matt-the-plant. Maybe I will use it to update on my Devil Dog, Stumpy, whom I think is possessed and hates me ...
