Reading workshops planned by library
The Public Library of Steubenville and Jefferson County is offering a new series of workshops called Every Child Ready to Read @ Your Library. These workshops can help parents and caregivers of children from birth to age 5 learn about the six early literacy skills that children must know before they can learn to read. Children who enter kindergarten with these skills learn to read more easily. Workshop participants will receive three free books at each workshop. There are three different workshops: Early Talkers, Talkers, and Pre-Readers. Early Talkers Workshop is for parents or caregivers of children ages birth through 2.
