Ann Morrow to mark 100 years
Ann Cavanaugh Morrow will celebrate her 100th birthday Aug. 27. Ann and her family moved to Steubenville in 1913, and she graduated from Steubenville High School in 1927. She was married for 44 years to the late Glenn Morrow of Toronto. Ann is a member of the Hibernians and St. Francis Club and is a member of St. Peter’s Catholic Church. She was recognized by the National Council of Catholic Women in 2007 for 50 years of membership in the Diocese of Steubenville CCW. Ann, who resides at Martha Manor in Steubenville, has three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Her son, Thomas, is deceased. A family celebration is planned for Ann at St. Florian Hall. I’ve known Ann for many years, and I know she would love to receive birthday cards from all those people whose lives she has touched. MIngo Legion plans reorganization There will be an emergency re-organization meeting of American Legion Post 351 of Mingo Junction at 6 p.m. Friday at 666 Commercial St., Mingo Junction.
