Reader refutes letter on Christ
To the Editor, Steve Kopa penned a letter to “The Weirton Daily Times” 12-21-08 and praised Jesus our Lord and Savior by reciting from his sermon on the mount. Jesus’ sermon on the mount represents the classic stateman of Christian ethics. As we can witness in the latest financial crisis, there isnát too much ethical about what is happening. Some fellow from Follansbee in a rebuttal letter 12-28-08 to my 12-21-08 letter didn’t like it and called Jesus a communist. He couldn’t have been referring to me because I didn’t walk the earth 2,000 years ago preaching the sermon on the mount. Shame on you, my friend, because he also is a dictator. It’s his way or the highway and he doesn’t take any prisoners. I responded in a moment of weakness and ask the Lord’s forgiveness and hopefully will not indulge in such malarkey - talk radio buffoonism - in the future. Steve Kopa Weirton
