Guglielmo responds to Ash’s letter
To the Editor,
Yes, the tree and sidewalk was Guglielmo Investmentsá responsibility to remove and repair. And if Mrs. Ash read my letter correctly, she would realize that I said the residents of Ward 4 are under the impression that the city and Councilmen Ash were responsible for the improvements.
Yes, we do collect rent and at this time I would like to give you a short lesson in business economics. A good part of the rents we collect goes toward a mortgage payment, next we have taxes and insurance, which are doubled due to it being considered investment property. We then have to maintain the property and, of course, there are repairs due to the tenants destroying the property and letás not forget loss of rents due to tenants not paying, and, finally, the cost of eviction fees. Hopefully, if there is anything left, we feed our families.
