Chester/Newell Lions collect and distribute food The Chester and Newell Lions Clubs collected and distributed over 200 food boxes to families for Christmas because of the generosity of Marsh Bellofram Corporation located in Newell. Each year Marsh Bellofram donates $5,000 to the Chester Lions club to purchase food for distribution in Chester and Newell. Food is purchased at Sparkle Market where their employees augmented donations with extra food. Mountain State Packaging of Newell donated their box truck to pick up and deliver food. The food is split evenly between the two Lions Clubs, and is distributed on a first come, first served basis. Each food box contains everything to prepare a turkey dinner, including pumpkin pie. WVACD scholarship offered The West Virginia Association of Conservation Districts will be awarding four $750 college scholarships to graduating high school seniors.
