Hopefully the US Attorney will also consider and investigate the role that the WV State Government, Governors Office, WV DHS, WV Emergency Management, Kanawha County EMA, the water authority in this complete governmental failure. The economic loss is significant. The liability is on both Freedom Industries (obviously) and these government departments that are responsible for public safety, emergency management and why they had no idea of what the chemical spill impact was, no valid response plan, no response equipment. How long has this failure been occurring? How much Federal Tax dollars are provided to WV Emergency Management specifically to have plans for these situations? How much more Federal Dollars are being Wasted everyday because WV needs FEMA to handle it, and how simple inspection and response plans are not in place in 2014??????
