If I recall correctly, the port authority was offering a solution that you stooges flat out refused with no interest at all. Now u want to raise taxes, cut services? You should all be removed for total incompetence, with some corruption sprinkled across those that know where all the money went.

Talk is cheap. Council continues to say how tight things are with the budget but refuse to do what is necessary in order to save the taxpayers money. Start with the fire department. Instead of continuing to hire, how about changing the work schedule to eliminate the overtime which is unnecessarily being paid. Wright is suggesting an increase in the fee paid for safety services, yet he has not exhausted all other means of saving taxpayer money in the fire department. Council spent $5000 on exercise equipment for this department because the audit of the department found members to be a threat to public safety due to their poor physical condition. From my view it looks as though some of them are even more out of shape than before the purchase--another waste of taxpayer money. It is time to place the interest of the taxpayers to the forefront rather than keeping your personal friendships with these firefighters your main priority.
