David Knotts

KNOTTS, David, 79, of Weirton, W.Va., passed away Saturday, May 10, 2008, in Weirton Medical Center.

He was born November 4, 1928, in Steubenville, Ohio, son of the late Nathan T. and Leah M. Price Knotts.

He was a member of Christ United Methodist Church; and was retired from the Fuel Department of Weirton Steel, as a Fuel Engineer.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Joseph V. Knotts; and sisters, Virginia Williams and Nathalie Ramey.

Surviving are his wife, Lily Winwood Knotts, whom he married in Weirton on November 10, 1950; daughters, Linda Dennis (Mark) of Weirton and Laurie Bertha (Jeff) of Weirton; sons, David J. Knotts (Cynthia) of Columbus, Ohio, and Timothy Knotts (Pam) of Weirton; eight grandchildren, Wesley and Alex Knotts, Kasey and Emily Bertha, Lynsay Guida (Mike), Jonathan and Brittany Knotts and Ryan Dennis; and sister, Margorie Kinsey (John) of San Bernadino, Calif.

Visitation Monday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Steel and Wolfe Funeral Homes, Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton.

Additional visitation at Christ United Methodist Church, 3598 Pennsylvania Avenue, Weirton, on Tuesday, May 13, 2008 from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m., with Pastor Chuck Jerman officiating.

Burial in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens.
