The All Saints Greek Orthodox Church, a member of the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce, will be holding our 21st annual Weirton Greek Festival on July 17 to 19 at the church grounds located at 3528 West St. Festival hours are 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily. The event gives our church an opportunity to share our Greek heritage with others.
We will have a variety of Greek food prepared by our parishioners at the festival, including lamb stew, pastichio, spanakopita and baked chicken. We will also have baked fish plaki on Friday only. And, of course, a large variety of pastries such as baklava, sweet bread, Koulourakia, and baklava sundaes. You can enjoy your food in the air-conditioned hall, outside under the tent, or taken home as a carry out order.
Entertainment will consist of a DJ, and The Greek Company Orchestra. Ethnic dancers will perform dances from different areas of Greece's mainland and islands.
Our church will also be open for tours.
Gift certificates are available in $5 increments and are valid on all food and pastry purchases.
Call (304) 797-9884 for information. Food and pastry orders may be faxed to (304) 797-1725 at least one hour prior to pick up.
Chamber Activity: The Chamber will hold the second annual "Christmas in July" celebration on Wednesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at Undo's in the Holiday Inn of Weirton.
