Three face drug charges

FOLLANSBEE — Three city residents face drug charges following an investigation by City Police, the Brooke-Hancock-Weirton Drug Task Force and the Brooke County Sheriff’s Department, and City Police are seeking information about crimes committed in several areas of the city. City Police Chief John Schwertfeger said Harmony E. Darrah, 18, and Donald W. Calabrese, 25, have been arrested on charges of delivering a controlled substance, following a search of their apartment at 512 State St. Police said Michael J. Goodman, 29, of 1130 Neville St., has been charged with possession of a controlled substance in connection with the investigation. City Police also are seeking information about several other crimes reported in the last several days. The department received reports of a window being broken out of a vehicle parked on the 300 block of Marquette Avenue and a purse being removed, as well as four tires being slashed on a vehicle parked on the 800 block of Virginia Avenue. Both incidents occurred on Oct. 10. City Police also have received reports of two 10-speed mountain bikes being taken from a residence on the 800 block of Terika Drive and a purse being taken from an unlocked vehicle on Donegal Drive East, both on Sunday. Police said the bikes were black with blue trim and a baby seat was attached to one. There also were reports of a black Kia Spectra, that had been left unlocked with the keys inside, being taken from the 300 block of Heathermoor Drive and a geographic positioning system being taken from an unlocked vehicle on the 900 block of Donegal Drive East. The Kia Spectra was bearing a West Virginia license plate labeled 8ER-454. Police said a Chevrolet Silverado truck that was stolen from a gas station on Colliers Way recently was found near the Parkview playground on Monday.
