Anna Kendrach
KENDRACH, Anna, 101, of Mingo Junction, Ohio, passed away Thursday, October 16, 2008, in Sienna Woods Nursing Home in Wintersville, Ohio. She was born September 21, 1907, in Mingo Junction, Ohio, a daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Berescik) Kendrach. Anna was a cashier for the former Mingo Theater; a member of the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Catholic Church in Mingo and the Our Lady Guild of the church. She also enjoyed knitting and spending time with her family. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by four brothers, John, George, Mike and Lt. Paul Kendrach; a half-brother, Michael Grecula; a half-sister, Mary Timcho; a nephew, John Timcho; and a niece, Anna Timcho (Donald N.) Coen. Surviving are a niece and nephew, whom she raised, Mary Carol Kendrach (Edward) Clevenger of Galloway, Ohio, and Paul (Cynthia) Kendrach of Westerville, Ohio; nieces, Mary “Babe” Timcho (Jack) Savage of Mingo, Gertrude Kendrach (Lawrence) Hall of Couldersport, Pa., and Paula Kendrach (Rev. John) Kopcha of Mingo; nephews, George (Margaret) Timcho of Mingo, William (Marge) Kendrach of Mingo and Bobby Kendrach of Cincinnati, Ohio; and numerous great, great-great, and great-great-great-nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Sunday from 3-7 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Avenue, Mingo. On Monday there will be a blessing service at the funeral home at 10:30 a.m. followed by Funeral Liturgy at 11 a.m. at the St. John the Baptist Byzantine Church, with the Rev. Fr. James Atkins as celebrant. Interment will follow in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Steubenville. There will be a Parastis Service on Sunday at 6 p.m. at the funeral home.
