A. Riley-Ayers, R. Powell II

WEIRTON - Arlita Lynelle Riley-Ayers and Robert Anthony Powell II have announced their engagement.

The bride-to-be is the daughter of Dr. Walter James Riley and Carolyn Louise Fort Riley of Des Moines, Iowa.

She is a 1981 graduate of Dowling High School, a 1990 graduate of Spelman College with a bachelor's degree in economics and a 1996 graduate of Meharry Medical College with a master of science in public health. She is employed by Physician Pain Care.

Her fiance is the son of Paula M. McDonnell Powell of Ames, Iowa, and Robert Anthony Powell of Weirton.

Following his 1982 graduation from Lincoln High School, he served in the military. He is employed by Fastenal.

The couple plan to be married April 4 in the Chapel at World Changers Church International in Georgia, where they reside.
