Brooke County grand jury indicts 23

WELLSBURG - A Weirton man who allegedly committed a series of burglaries and a Steubenville woman charged with the armed robbery of a Weirton business were among 23 indicted by a Brooke County grand jury on Monday.
The grand jury indicted Joe Benton Satathite Jr., 21, of 403 Heathermoor Drive, on nine counts of entering homes without breaking with the intent to commit a crime and seven counts of conspiring to enter without breaking to commit a crime.
The charges stem from seven burglaries in May 2008 of homes on Hooverson Heights, Eldersville Road and Burgoyne Avenue in Follansbee, and Crystal Lane in Weirton and investigated by the Brooke County Sheriff's Department.
The conspiracy charges implicate Rexal T. Sandy II, 20, of Follansbee, who was indicted on similar charges in November by a Brooke County grand jury and whose case is pending in circuit court.
Also indicted was Dawn D. Meyers, 36, of 701 Lincoln Ave., Steubenville, who allegedly used a weapon to threaten a clerk at Smoky's convenient store in Weirton, then fled with $37 in cash, on July 4, 2007.
Weirton police, who investigated the crime, said tips from residents led to Meyers' arrest the following day.
Also indicted were:
Chad F. Stewart, 24, of 65 Braxton Road, Weirton, first-degree robbery, for allegedly striking a woman while she was loading groceries into her vehicle and taking her purse.
Brandon McAllister, 19, 2302 Weir Ave., Weirton, two counts of burglary for allegedly breaking into two Weirton homes.
Michael Marteny, 31, and Daniel McQuillan, 21, both of RD 1, Colliers, entering without breaking and conspiracy to do so for attempting to steal an all-terrain vehicle from a residence on Cross Creek Road.
Michael K. Pruett, 40, of RD 1, Colliers, breaking and entering, for allegedly attempting to rob a Wellsburg business.
Shawna Roach, 29, of RD 1, Colliers, burglary and grand larceny, for allegedly taking more than $1,000 in assorted items from a Follansbee home.
Scott E. Parr, 20, of 100 Woodlawn Drive, Follansbee, second-degree sexual assault of a girl less than 16 years old.
Walter J. Jones, 29, of Greensburg, Pa., one count of escape for allegedly attempting to escape an alternative sentence of home confinement by removing the electronic monitoring device on his ankle.
Anthony Biondillo, 49, of 847 Wood St., Follansbee, third-offense driving under the influence.
David Sicher, 58, of Bulger, Pa., third-offense driving under the influence.
Heather Wagner, 23, of 3511 Orchard St., Weirton, two counts of fraudulent use of a debit card.
Susan Chappell, 50, of 303 Heathermoor Drive, Weirton, embezzlement and fraudulent scheme for allegedly taking more than $1,000 from the Weirton business where she worked.
Bruce J. Ramsey, 26, of 311 Euclid St., Jewett, forging and uttering an unauthorized check.
Rebecca A. Harper, 59, of 2642 Allison Road, Chester, grand larceny, for allegedly taking more than $1,000 in coins and jewelry from a Follansbee home.
Michael Tyrone Jenkins, 48, of 3944 Adams St., Weirton, failure to register as a sex offender.
Laura Gorby, 25, of 160 White Bell Circle, Wellsburg, attempting to obtain a controlled substance by subterfuge, allegedly for presenting a false prescription.
Daniel Millhouse, 35, of West Liberty, obtaining by false pretense, for allegedly attempting to write a check for more than $1,000 on a closed account.
Ashleigh Smith, 18, of Apartment B, 93 26th St., Wellsburg, two counts of possession of heroin with intent to deliver.
Kimberly A. Riter, also known as Kimberly A. Taibi, 47, of 204 George St., Follansbee, delivery and possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and conspiring to deliver.
Cody G. Stewart, 20, of Wellsburg, conspiring to possess and transport heroin into the state.
