Weirton police make heroin arrests

The Weirton Police Department reports that on Thursday, officers from the departments Street Crimes Unit apprehended two subjects on heroin charges stemming from an undercover operation performed the same day.

During this operation, Eric Lee Vladich, 25, was found in possession of 14 heroin stamp bags which were intended for distribution, according to police. Vladich, of 148 Ridge Road, Georgetown, Pa., was charged with possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

Brittany Nicole Yates, 21, of Weirton, who police said is Vladichs girlfriend, was charged with conspiracy to possess a controlled substance with intent to distribute.
