Mr. and Mrs. John D. Ferry

BEECH BOTTOM - Mr. and Mrs. John D. Ferry, formerly of Bethany, celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary June 3. They were united in marriage June 3, 1939, in Wheeling with the Rev. William Fields officiating.

Ferry is a retired Wheeling-Pitt Steel Corp. millright. His wife, Millie, is a retired teacher from Brooke County Schools.

They are the parents of two sons, Max of Beech Bottom and J. Douglas of Farmington Hills, Mich.

Six grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren complete the family.

The couple celebrated with their family at a dinner at Oglebay Park in Wheeling.
