James Baughman

BAUGHMAN, James Frank, 91, of Irondale, Ohio, passed away at his home, Saturday, August 1, 2009. He was born in Copen, Braxton Co., W.Va., February 8, 1918. He was a lifelong farmer, a coal miner for 25 years and worked in conservation areas including park manager for seven years. He was a five-year U.S. Army veteran; a member of the Mt. Zion UM Church and the Richmond Honored Seven American Legion Post 740. Frank is preceded in death by his father, Lee Baughman; his mother and stepmother, Rhoda (McConkey) and Locie (Moore) Baughman; by a son, Allen Baughman who died January 19, 2007, and by three brothers, Wade, Kenneth and Guy Baughman. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Inez (Ware) Baughman; his grandchildren, Damien and Lucas Baughman and Heather Pettit and great- granddaughter, Clare Pettit; a brother, Glen (Katie) Baughman, Minton, Ohio, and two sisters, Helen Cummings, Charlottesville, Va. and Lola Stanley, Amsterdam, Ohio. Friends may call at the Everhart-Bove Funeral Home, 110 West Main St., Richmond, Tuesday from 10 a.m. until time of funeral services at Noon Tuesday. The Reverend Dennis Devorick will officiate and burial will follow in the Mt. Zion Cemetery with full military honors by the Ohio Valley Veterans Memorial Squad.
