Bioux — Nutt

FOLLANSBEE - Kristen Nicole Bioux and Steven Andrew Nutt were united in marriage July 11 in Hooverson Heights Church of Christ with pastor Jonathan Absher officiating.

Escorted to the altar by her father and given in marriage by her parents, Tom and Jackie Bioux of Follansbee, the bride chose an ivory taffeta gown, accented with lace and beading. She carried a bouquet of white roses.

The groom is the son of Charles Nutt of Winfield, W.Va., and the late Ann Nutt of Winfield.

Courtney Bioux of Follansbee served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Ashley DeSantis of Follansbee, Erin McElwee of Ocean City, N.J., and Carly Mento of Old Bridge, N.J.

Jonathan Nutt of Nashville, Tenn., was best man. Groomsmen were Jamie Johnson of Huntington, Brian Martino of Charleston and Kayla Lester of Scott Depot.

Elsa Simonetti, cousin of the bride, and Madison and Mackenzie Palma were flower girls. Matthew Bowers, cousin of the bride, was ring bearer.

Following a reception at the Serbian American Cultural Center, the couple honeymooned in St. Lucia.

The bride is a 2003 graduate of Brooke High School and a 2007 graduate of West Virginia University. She is employed by U.S. Sen. John D. Rockefeller IV, D-W.Va.

The groom is a 2003 graduate of Winfield High School and a 2009 graduate of West Virginia University with a master's degree in political science. He is employed as a government consultant. The couple are making their home in Ellicott City, Md.
