Vaughn Jeskiewicz

JESKIEWICZ, Vaughn Evyln, died peacefully in her sleep August 23, 2009.

She was born October 14, 1917, in Littleton, W.Va.

She was the daughter of Cary and Lilian Cain.

Vaughn lived in Weirton, W.Va., most of her life. Many would remember her as a beautician, a job she held for more than 60 years of her life.

Vaughn was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Jeskiewicz Sr.; her brother, Clarence Cain of Canonsburg, Pa.; her sisters, Virginia Miller of Silver Hill, W.Va., Ruby Hamil of Brilliant, Ohio; and her son, Kenneth Hugh Gorby of Clarington, Ohio.

Vaughn is survived by her sisters, Edith Miller of Hundred, W.Va, Mildred Sterling of Brilliant, Ohio, Pansey Farmer of Independence, Ky., and Genova Sponaugle of Front Royal, Va.; her sons, Ray Gorby of Toano, Va., Jim Gorby of Steubenville, Ohio, Joey Jeskiewicz Jr. of Weirton, W.Va.; her daughter, Patty Vignjevic of Steubenville, Ohio; and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be remembered for her devotion and willingness to always help others as "she never met a stranger." Vaughn will be missed by all whose lives she touched.

A grave-site service will be held September 3, 2009, at 11 a.m. at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, 135 Gilson Ave., Weirton, WV.
