Little family celebrates 56th reunion
The 56th annual Little Family Reunion was held on Aug. 23 at the Pleasants County Park in St. Marys, W.Va. There were 72 in attendance from West Virginia and several other states.
George Little gave the blessing. Following dinner Tyrone Beagle welcomed all and Bobbie Beagle read the minutes from the 2008 reunion and provided the financial report.
Ruth Hoover updated attendees on changes within the family and distributed a poem written by Mary Smith who died on July 25. Ed Moellenick gave out copies of photographs of Thomas Jefferson Little and hie wife, Nancy Barrett Little, founders of the family.
Gifts were awarded to: Youngest Child, Braden Riser; Oldest "Little" Woman, Viola Mollendick; Oldest "Little"?Man, Edgar Little; Married the Longest, Sara and Jim McKnight; Newlyweds, Justin and Kristina Riser; and Traveled the Farthest, Larry Little.
Next year's reunion will be held on Aug. 22, 2010 at Shelter No. 5 at the Pleasants County Park in St. Marys, W.Va.
Door prizes were awarded to Edgar Little, Justin Riser, Kristina Riser, Craig Pritchett, William McKinley and George Little.
