Bruins edge Madonna by 1

WEIRTON — Brooke’s Russell James and Madonna’s Nicklas Battista were co-medalists on Wednesday at Williams Country Club with 39s.
The Bruins totaled 164 to beat the Blue Dons by a shot, Weir (192) and Linsly (194).
Ryan Brindley carded a 41 and Trevor Barnhart and Mark Fitzpatrick 42s for Brooke.
Andrew Gobleck shot 40, Patrick McCune, Austin Pitchok and James McFadden all had 43s and Courtney Brancazio a 44 for Madonna.
Devin Burchill led the red Riders with a 40. Dillon Knox shot 48, Sean Fenske 52 and Patrick McConald 52.
Mary Crisafio had a 45 for the Cadets. Derek Andreini and Michael Joseph each shot 49 and Nicole Gray 51.
Big Red beats Creek
RICHMOND — Joe Garay and Mike Petrides each shot 41 to earn co-medalist honors on Wednesday at Blackmoor Golf Club as Steubenville Big Red defeated Indian Creek, 175-184.
Kodi Peterson added a 45 and Jordan Quinn a 48 for Big Red.
The Redskins were led by Nate Tluchowski’s 42. RJ Barnett shot 46, J.J. Caniff 47 and Tim Newburn a 49.
Huskies win dual match
CADIZ — Juli Hirauk and Adam Heaston each had a 40 on Wednesday at Cadiz Country Club as Harrison Central downed Conotton Valley, 173-194.
Jake Blanchard added a 45 and Jacob Kasarda a 48 for the Huskies.
For Conotton Valley, Taylor Berg shot 43, Tab Yosick 44, Josh McNutt 51 and Zach Belknap a 56.
Wildcats slip by Bears
CHESTER — Jarrod Falasca was the medalist on Wednesday with a 38 at Mountaineer’s Woodview Golf Course as Edison defeated Oak Glen, 178-181.
Greg Stagani fired a 43, Sean Connelly a 47 and Andy Prosko a 50 for the Wildcats.
Matt Shenton and Zeth Clark each shot a 43 for the Golden Bears, while Zach Mazezka had a 46 and Jay Rosak a 49.
Fall Classic
EAST?SPRINGFIELD?— The Fall Classic will be held Friday at Spring Hills Golf Course with an 8 a.m. shotgun.
Being played in conjunction with the tournament will be the second round of the Buckeye 8 Championships.
Buckeye Local’s Andrew Strope and Caniff are tied for the individual lead after their 81s at Cadiz Country Club on Aug. 21 in the first round.
The 81 was one shot better than Hirauk, Stagani and St. Clairsville's Brice Holler.
Falasca and the Red Devils’ Zach Keylor shot 83, while Buckeye Local’s Jeff Becca, Heaston and Blanchard, Indian Creek’s Vince Petrozzi and St. Clairsville's Caden Myers each carded 85s.
The team competition is also close. Indian Creek shot 340 and Buckeye Local 342. St. Clairsville totaled 343 and Harrison Central and Edison each had 344.
