TORONTO — Ashley Smith and Christopher Mantica were united in marriage Dec. 27 at St. Francis Roman Catholic Church. The bride was escorted to the altar by her father, Jay Walter of Toronto. The mother of the bride is Rene Smith of Toronto. The groom is the son of Ralph and Kathy Mantica of Kettering. Kaylin Giannamore of Steubenville served as maid of honor, and Ashley Haggard of Dublin, Ohio, was matron of honor. Bridesmaids were Jenna Gorsky of Boardman; Kelsey Kiehl of Van Wert; Dana McHale of Kettering; Jennifer Peltier of Ladson, S.C.; Christy Rossi of Sacramento; Danielle Tiberio of Toronto; and Jennifer Marino of Stow. Olivia Chilson of Lewisville, N.C., cousin of the bride, served as junior bridesmaid. Michael Mantica of Louisville and Timothy Mantica of Cincinnati, brothers of the groom, were best men. Groomsmen were Zach McHale, Brian Connell, Doug Stafford and Sean McCormick of Kettering; Travis Erving of Charleston, S.C.; Brett Schmied of Wintersville; Evan Sauer of Chicago; Corey Asay of Evansville, Ind.; and Patrick Fazzani of York, Pa. Ushers were Chase Chilson of Lewisville, N.C., cousin of the bride, and Tyler Gillette of Centerville, cousin of the groom. After a reception at St. Florian Hall, the newlyweds honeymooned in Jamaica. The bride is a graduate of Catholic Central High School and Ohio Northern University with a doctorate in pharmacy. She is employed as a staff/decentralized pharmacist at Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center. The groom is a graduate of Archbishop Alter High School in Kettering, received his bachelor’s degree in history and political science from the Citadel Military College of South Carolina and a doctorate from Ohio Northern University Pettit College of Law. The couple reside in Cincinnati.
