Charles Borio

BORIO, Charles, 80 of Slovan, Pa., died Thursday, Nov.12 in Cannonsburg Hospital. He was born Dec. 7, 1928 in Slovan, as son of Arnaldo and Josephine Borio. Prior to retirement, Mr. Borio was employed by Weirton Steel Corporation. He is preceded in death by his first wife, Alice Watton Borio, who died May 5, 1994; five brothers, Angelo, Marion, Eugene, Mimi and Louis Borio; and four sisters, Mary Sabo, Catherine King, Ernesta Buck and Camille Troy. On September 23, 2005, he married Anna Charnik Clouston Borio, who survives. Also surviving are three stepsons, William Clouston of Avella, Barry Clouston of Avella and David Strope of Weirton; two stepdaughters, Doris Stevens of Canonsburg and Janet Jones of Langeloth; and sister Josephine Reefer of Detroit, Mich. Friends will be received from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15, 2009 where a blessing service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, Nov. 16, 2009 with the Rev. Pierre Sodini officiating. Interment in Mt. Prospect Cemetery, Hickory.
