Air Force Huscroft Joseph R. Huscroft, son of Joe and Sanh Huscroft of Cedar Road, Richmond, was promoted to the rank of lieutenant colonel and assumed command of the 18th Maintenance Operations Squadron at Kadena Air Base, Okinawa, Japan. Huscroft was born in Saigon, South Vietnam, and was raised in Richmond. Huscroft graduated in 1990 from Edison South High School. In 1994, he received a commission of second lieutenant after graduating from the U.S. Air Force Academy. He earned a master’s degree in 2004 from U.S. Air Force Institute of Technology, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton. As an aircraft maintenance officer, he has maintained aircraft in various capacities on equipment and off-equipment, as well as sortie support, sortie generation and maintenance manager. Huscroft has served with major commands in the U.S. and overseas, including the Air Force Logistics Agency. His major military decorations include the Bronze Star Medal, seven Air Force Meritorious Service Medals, National Defense Service Medal with device, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, the Kosovo Campaign Medal, the Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, the Air Force Expeditionary Service Medal with gold border and the NATO Medal. Grazier Air Force Reserve Airman 1st Class Bryan E. Grazier, son of Stephen and Sandy Grazier of state Route 43, Amsterdam, graduated from basic military training at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, Texas. The airman completed an intensive, eight-week program that included training in military discipline and studies, Air Force core values, physical fitness, and basic warfare principles and skills. Grazier is a 2008 graduate of Edison High School.
