Jessica George to present recital

Toronto native Jessica George will present a vocal recital accompanied by George Melhorn at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Center of Music and Art in Wintersville.
A former CMS student, Jessica recently returned from six months in Hong Kong, where she worked for Hong Kong Disneyland performing in “The Golden Mickey’s.” Jessica has worked for Disney International for two years, also performing on Disney Cruise Lines.
She is a 2001 graduate of Toronto High School, received a bachelor’s of music in vocal performance from Baldwin-Wallace College in Berea and a master’s of music in opera from Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
The recital will include selections from opera repertoire and music from hit Broadway shows such as “Thoroughly Modern Millie,” “Title of Show,” “Avenue Q” and “Beauty and the Beast.”
Admission is free butdonations will be accepted to defray medical expenses for Jessica’s aunt, Denise George, who is battling cancer.
Jessica is the daughter of Kirk and Sally George.
