ORENCHUK, John Jr., 88, of Burgettstown passed away Friday, November 27, 2009, at Brightwood Center, Follansbee. He was born July 1, 1921, in Avella, son of the late John and Mary Kasurak Orenchuk, Sr. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, World War II, a member of the St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church in Weirton, and was retired from the Maintenance Department of Weirton Steel Corp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Jennie Macgoski Orenchuk; one caughter, Linda Diane Orenchuk; five brothers, Steve, Russell, Daniel, Mike and Pat Orenchuk; one sister, Kathryn Kansius; and one nephew, John Kansius. Surviving are: one brother, Harry Orenchuk of Houston, Pa; and several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 1, 2009, from 2-8 p.m. at James Funeral Home, 1245 Main St., Follansbee. Visitation will also be held from noon until time of burial services at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 2, 2009, at the St. Nicholas Russian Orthodox Church, 608 Colliers Way, Weirton, with Father Theodore Shomsky, as celebrant. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Colliers, W.Va.
