Rose Danze

DANZE, Rose, 100, of Weirton, W.Va., went to be with the Lord on Thanksgiving Day, November 26, 2009.

She was born on February 27, 1909, in Keystone, W.Va., daughter of the late Grace (Ballato) Ricciardi and Nunzio Ricciardi

Rose was a member of the First Baptist Church, the PHI TAU KAPPA Circle of the First Baptist Church; AB Women's Circle; past president of the Rosalie Olson Circle, she always loved the little children and for years was in charge of the church nursery. Through the years she served in many other church related capacities.

Rose was a homemaker, a sweet caring person who found joy in doing for her family and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Danze, whom she married on December 22, 1926, and passed on April 1, 1968; daughter, Frances Taylor; son-in-law, John Taylor; sisters, Mary Marinelli, Pearl Aria, Maggie Caruso and Margaret Richards and one brother, Joseph Richards.

Surviving are her daughters, Veda Orwasky (Albert) of Weirton and Patricia Nagle of Pittsburgh; grandchildren, Terry (Joseph) Tunno of Weirton, Leslie (Mike) Current of Huntington, Md., Michael (Carol) Orwasky of Sarasota, Fla., Kimberly (Wayne) Honath of Pittsburgh, Barry Nagle of Falls Church, Va.; great-grandchildren, Steven Still, Alexandra Orwasky, David Orwasky, Samantha Jo Tunno and many close nieces and nephews.

Friends received at Steel and Wolfe, 380 Penco Road, Weirton, Saturday, November 28, 2009, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m., where services will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2009, at 1 p.m., with Pastor Donald Dague officiating.

Interment in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens, Weirton.
