Wharton — Dragisich

BETHANY - Amy L. Wharton and Steven E. Dragisich were united in marriage May 23 in Bethany State College's Commencement Hall with the Rev. Michael Paul Waide, cousin of the bride, officiating.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Wharton of Weirton. The groom is the son of Dr. and Mrs. Eli Dragisich of Weirton.

The bride was escorted to the altar by her father. She wore a white satin organza beaded gown and carried a bouquet of pink roses.

Michelle O'Neill of Weirton served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids included Jennifer Tokash, Billie Conforti, Kristen Palavis, Mandy Kondik, Rachel Reardon, Marissa Reardon, Shannon Reardon, Kristen Reardon, Ashley DeSantis, Britney DeSantis and Tessie Tokash. Kiara Palavis was flower girl.

Dominic Dragisich of Washington, D.C., served as his brother's best man. Groomsmen included P.J. Tokash, Robert Wharton Jr., Anthony Palavis, Garn Earley, Bill Magnone, Eric Ubrin, Shawn O'Kelley, Dave Kondik, Rich Fiedorczyk, Sam Cekinovich, Joe Kozora and Zak Tokash. Eli Tokash, nephew of the groom, was ring bearer.

The reception was held at the Serbian American Cultural Center in Weirton. The newlyweds honeymooned in San Diego.

The bride is a 2001 graduate of West Liberty State College with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is employed as a case manager specialist for Cigna Corp. in Robinson Township, Pa.

The groom is a 1998 graduate of Bethany College with a bachelor's degree in mathematics and a 2001 graduate of Ohio Northern University with a juris doctorate. He is an attorney with Frankovitch, Anetakis, Colantonio and Simon in Weirton and also serves as the Weirton city judge.

The couple reside in Weirton.
