Dorothy Kuczykowski

KUCZYKOWSKI, Dorothy J., 77, of Wintersville, died Sunday, December 6, 2009, in Trinity West

She was born October 21, 1932, in Steubenville, a daughter of the late Walter Ulasuk and Philomena Kaminski Ulasuk Chmielewski.

Dorothy was a homemaker and loved rose gardening and a former employee of the Barr Cleaning Company, Catholic Central High School Cafeteria and Mr. Wiggs.

Dorothy was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, its Catholic Women's Club, St. Francis Society and St. Vincent de Paul Society and was an avid church volunteer for many years especially crocheting baptismal blankets.

Dorothy is also preceded in death by her husband, John J. Kuczykowski on June 21, 2009 and her step father Marcel Chmielewski.

Surviving are four sons, John T. (Karen) Kuczykowski of Wintersville, Daniel (Michelle) Kuczykowski of Steubenville, James W. and Tim Kuczykowski both of Wintersville, one dauther, Pamela (Keith) Hilliard of Rayland, one brother, Thomas (Ann) Chmielewski of San Pedro, California, seven grand children, Angela (Rich) Penner, Michael (Jesse) Kuczykowski, Ryan and Alana Kuczykowski, Josh, Jacob, and Jordan Hilliard, seven great-grandchildren, Jalyn, Ashley, Bailey, Michael, Carley, Logan and Eli.

Calling hours are Wednesday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville. A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated Thursday at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church on Thursday with Msgr. Kurt Kemo as celebrant.

There will be a vigil service at 3:45 p.m. on Wednesday. Burial in Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to Catholic Central High School, 320 West View, Steubenville. Offer condolences, www.mostifuneralhome.com.
