Anna Mason Galonis

GALONIS, Anna Mason, 98, of Keysville, Va., formerly of Mingo Junction, passed away Monday, Dec. 14, 2009, in Farmville, Va.

She was born March 8, 1911, in Brilliant, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Zuzna) Lucskay.

Anna was member of the First United Presbyterian Church of Mingo Junction; the Shanagu Senior Citizens Club in Mingo; the Mingo Senior Citizens Center; the Democratic Women's Club of Mingo and the Women's Aglow in Steubenville.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death her husband, Hassen Galonis on March 6, 1986; two brothers, Steve and Joseph Lucskay; and two sisters, Elizabeth Rose Anderson and Mary A. Moore.

She is survived by a daughter, Betty Mason Elder of Keysville, Va.; two sons, Jack L. Mason of Galion, Ohio, and Michael H. Galonis of Richmond, Ohio; 11 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received on Friday from 7-9 p.m. at the Wheeler Funeral Home, 101 Longview Ave., Mingo Junction.

Graveside services will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Oakland Cemetery in Mingo Junction with Josh Beadles, minister, officiating.
