Floyd G. Ellis

ELLIS, Floyd G. "Pappy," 72, of Rayland, died Saturday December 19, 2009 at his home on County Highway 15 in Rayland.

He was born March 3, 1937 in Rush Run, Ohio, the son of the late Gezel and Susie (Homol) Ellis.

Floyd was a retired steelworker from Weirton Steel, a member of the Piedmont Fishing Club, and a veteran of the U.S. Navy.

In addition to his parents, Floyd was preceded in death by a son, Eric Ellis, three brothers, Frank Ellis Sr., Andy Ellis and Richard Ellis.

Floyd is survived by his wife of 50 years, Dorothy M. (Henry) Ellis, two daughters, Roxanne Konczal and her husband Steve of Yorkville, Valerie Schuerer and her husband Herman of Rayland, his granddaughter Brittany Schuerer, and a brother Bill Ellis of Rush Run.

Visitation will be on Tuesday from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. at Wilson Funeral Home, 102 Main Street, Tiltonsville, Ohio, where services will be held on Wednesday at 10 a.m. with Fr. Dan Heusel officiating. Interment will follow at Hopewell Cemetery, Rayland.
