BAIN, Hilda I., 76, of Weirton, W.Va., died Tuesday, January 19, 2010, in West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa.
She was born in Avella, Pa., May 14, 1933, a daughter of the late Effie May Quinn Lowe and James Curtis Lowe.
She was a member of Colliers United Methodist Church where she also belonged to the United Methodist Women, Daughters of the Nile and the Lady Shriners; and Weirton Chapter No. 147 OES.
She retired as an assembler at RCA, Washington, Pa.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by six brothers and three sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Richard A. Bain Sr.; three daughters, Anna Echelmeyer (Derek) of Kissimmee, Fla., Diane Swango (Timothy) of Colliers, W.Va., Sue McCoy (Ray) of Follansbee, W.Va.; stepdaughter, Betsy Tornes (Lou) of Marietta, Ohio; son William Fowler (Deanne) of Colliers, W.Va.; stepsons, Rick Bain (Lisa) of Wellsburg, W.Va., Scott Bain (Bobbi) of Colliers, W.Va.; sister, Jennie Koutsagini of Canonsburg, Pa.; 17 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.
Friends received Thursday 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home Inc., 380 Penco Road, Weirton, and from 10-11 a.m. Friday at Colliers United Methodist Church, where services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday with Pastor Tom Deane.
