STEUBENVILLE - Erin Hemmerly and Charles Courtney were united in marriage Nov. 19 at Lincoln Park Presbyterian Church in Chicago, Ill., with the Rev. Zach Schlegel officiating at the double-ring ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her parents, Thomas and Vickie Hooker of Kokomo, Ind. The parents of the groom are Thomas and Nancy Courtney of Steubenville.
The bride chose a gown of white taffeta.
Matron of honor was Beth Oyler, friend of the bride, and David Courtney, brother of the groom, served as best man. The usher was Brian Hooker, brother of the bride.
The bride is a graduate of Northwestern High School and Butler University with a degree is business. She is employed by Merchandise Mart of Chicago as a marketing manager.
The groom is a graduate of Jefferson County Christian School and Judson University with a degree in architecture. He is employed by the architectural firm, HOK, of Chicago as an architect.
A honeymoon cruise is planned for the spring. The couple is residing in Chicago.
