AVELLA - A private family home was the setting for the Sept. 4 wedding that united Valerie Dobbins and Clinton Varner. The ceremony was officiated by the Rev. Gary Gibson.
The bride is the daughter of John Trifonoff of Steubenville and the late Carla Trifonoff and Kenneth Dobbins. The groom is the son of David and Denise Varner of Avella.
Jennifer McCourt of Toronto, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor. Brenna Heiss of Bergholz, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl.
Tim DeGarmo of Claysville, brother-in-law of the groom, was the best man, and Landon Martos of Clarksville, nephew of the groom, was the ring bearer.
The bride is a 2000 graduate of Edison High School and a 2004 graduate of Wheeling Jesuit University where she graduated with a bachelor's degree in nursing. She is employed at UPMC Presbyterian.
The groom is a 1998 graduate of McGuffy High School and attended West Liberty University. He is employed at Fairmont Supply Co.
The couple live in Washington, Pa.
