WEIRTON - Israel E. and Margaret Charlotte Klee of Weirton recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary.
They were married Aug. 12, 1961 at St. Luke's Catholic Church in Carnegie, Pa.
He is the son of the late Israel and Ann Klee. He has been a pharmacist for more than 50 years, starting his career at the former Thrift Drugs. He owned and operated the Medicine Shoppe in Weirton and is semi-retired working at the Marland Heights Pharmacy.
She is the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Olive Fagan. She worked at Mercy Hospital in Pittsburgh, as well as worked with her husband at the Medicine Shoppe. She also is a homemaker.
There are six children: Jacquelyn Kotter of Weirton; Israel Jr. of Pittsburgh; Michele Tost of Hedgesville, W.Va.; John of Winchester, Va.; Marylyn Jenkins of Columbus; and the late Patrick. There are 12 grandchildren.
A Mass was held at St. Joseph the Worker Church in the couple's honor, and they renewed their wedding vows. Also, a surprise family celebration and dinner were held at Williams Country Club, and the couple took a trip with family to Las Vegas.
