Road work announced
The West Virginia Division of Highways has announced road work to be performed next week, pending suitable weather.
In Brooke County, crews will be patching U.S. Route 22, pulling shoulders and ditches along Low Grove and Morton Hill roads and mowing along state Routes 88 and 67.
In Hancock County, crews will be patching state Route 30 in Chester and state Route 8 in New Cumberland, ditching along Kings Creek and Turkey Foot roads and mowing along Kings Creek, North Fork, Hudson Hill, Lick Run and Rainey Hill roads.
Vehicle vandalism under investigation
STEUBENVILLE - City Police were called to investigate two incidents of vehicles with windows shot out, both at about 10:40 p.m. Friday.
A vehicle in the 100 block of Greenwich Avenue and another in the 900 block of Oxford Boulevard are believed to have been shot out with a pellet gun, according to police reports.
Police also received a report of several rocks being thrown through the window of a home in the 2000 block of Estelle Avenue between 9 p.m. and midnight Friday.

Three-vehicle collision reported
WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Ambulance Service was dispatched to a three-vehicle collision near the interesection of state Routes 27 and 2 at about 1:30 p.m. Saturday.
Other details weren't available Saturday night.
Ohio merging two agencies
COLUMBUS - State agencies providing mental-health and substance-abuse services in Ohio will be merged pending legislative approval.
The administration of Gov. John Kasich says the merger will reduce bureaucratic clutter.
The move was announced Friday and involves the Ohio Department of Mental Health and the Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services.
They will be merged July 1 pending legislative approval.
The new agency would have a combined 2,500 employees and a budget in excess of $650 million.
Freeze damages state vineyards
CINCINNATI - A freeze that damaged Ohio vineyards has left grape growers and wine producers dealing with the loss of much of their crop and wine consumers facing the possibility of higher prices.
The executive director of the Ohio Wine Producers Association says temperatures that dropped below freezing around the state for several hours last Sunday damaged anywhere from 30 percent to 75 percent of Ohio's grape crops depending on the location.
Donniella Winchell says this year's crop will be significantly smaller and the possibility of more freezes over the next few weeks remains a concern.
'Avengers' gives Cleveland big moment
CLEVELAND - Cleveland got its moment on the Hollywood big screen with the coast-to-coast release of Disney's $220 million film "The Avengers."
Some of the explosive fight scenes were done in Cleveland, with streets dressed up to look like New York City. The release gave extras hired in Cleveland the first chance to see themselves on screen.
