STEUBENVILLE, Ohio - The Starkdale Presbyterian Church will hold a chicken grill from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. May 19 at the facility located at 4600 Sunset Boulevard.
Proceeds benefit 7-year-old Abigail Kinney, who has been diagnosed with a rare genetic disorder that negatively impacts her sight. There is no known cure or treatment for her particular disorder, but researchers have created a gene therapy treatment for a similar disease and continued research may result in a cure for Abigail and others impacted by the disease.
The meal includes half a chicken, baked beans, coleslaw, a dinner roll, dessert and a beverage. The cost is $9 for an adult and $4.50 for a child. Eat-in and take-out are available.
Phone orders may be placed by calling (740) 264-5309 after 3 p.m.
Direct donations can be made online at www.RDH12.org or by sending a check payable to RDH12 Fund for Sight to P.O. Box 161481, Boiling Springs, SC 29316.
