BLACK, Sallie D., 80, of Weirton, W.Va., passed away Friday, June 15, 2012, in Trinity Medical Center West, Steubenville, Ohio.
She was born Aug. 15, 1931, in Fairmont, W.Va., the daughter of the late Paul C. and Esther Vandergrift Morris. She was also preceded in death by her husband, William E. Black, on Feb. 3, 1990, and her sister, Shirley Morris, in 1951. Sallie was a member of the First United Methodist Church, a former telephone operator, and a former retail clerk at Sixteen Plus at the Fort Steuben Mall.
Surviving are her sons, Scott Black of Weirton, W.Va., and Paul Black of St. Paul, Minn., grandchildren; Austin and Kayla.
Visitation will be at the Steel & Wolfe Funeral Home, Inc., 3721 Main St., Weirton, W.Va., on Monday from 5-8 p.m. where the funeral/committal service will be held Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Pastors Chuck and Judy Jerman as officiants. Burial will be in Chestnut Ridge Cemetery. www.steelandwolfe.com
