Mended Hearts Inc. will meet at Perkin's July 9

WHEELING - The Greater Wheeling Area Chapter 280 of the Mended Hearts Inc. will meet at 6 p.m. July 9 at Perkin's Restaurant's meeting room located on National Road.

Amanda Wakim, a nurse with The Heart Failure Clinic of Wheeling, will give a presentation on "Women and A Fibrillation"

Mended Hearts is a national support organization for patients, families and anyone with an interest in heart disease.

Right to Life to hold yard sale

WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Right to Life will hold a large yard sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 14 at the old Convenient Store on state Route 2.

Donations are welcome and may be dropped off there between 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. July 12 or by appointment July 13.

Chapel Hill holding bible school

WEIRTON - The Chapel Hill Wesleyan Church will hold a vacation Bible school, "Adventures on Promise Island," from 6:30 p.m. to 8:45 p.m. July 16-20 at the church located at 139 Gilson Ave.

The program is open to children 3 years old through ninth grade.
