Selected to represent Brooke High School at Rhododendron Girls State were Juliet Casinelli, Briana Leathers and Jenna Bright. Leathers and Bright were sponsored by the Follansbee American Legion Post 45 Auxiliary and Casinelli by the Follansbee Civic League.
Through the program, female high school juniors from throughout the state learn about government in a simulation in which many are elected to a mock state Legislature and others serve as appointed officials or play other roles in the political process.
