WEIRTON - The Three Score Seniors met June 28 at Undo's at the Holiday Inn - Weirton with President Barbara Purks presiding and introducing Blanche Tyson, who gave the invocation, which was followed by members reciting the Pledge of Allegiance and singing "God Bless America."
After dinner, Vice President Larry Purks introduced the father-son duo The Donohues, who sang songs of the 1950s and 1960s, including music by Bobby Vinton, Beach Boys, The Beatles and John Denver. Next month's entertainment will be Splendid Sound. Secretary Pat Deletka and Treasurer Joan Villa gave their reports, and the treasurer's report will be filed for audit. Membership Chair Josie Elliot introduced new members Barbara Libengood and Carol Nale. Sunshine Chair Winnie Kemp sent get-well cards to Bob Hinchee, Leonard Robinson and Paul Pavelka and a sympathy card to Barbara Purks. Purks sent the club a thank-you note.

Reservation Chair Patty Holt announced 144 members and five guests, including Mike and Patty Valero, guests of Joe and Cookie Veltri; Grayson Hawk, guest of Joe and Pat Evans; Jack Doran, guest of Ida Haynes; and Audrey Phillips, guest of bill and Jeanette Wetzel, were in attendance. Holt announced July's menu.
Kemp recognized the June birthdays of Regina Truax, Albert Daugherty, Ed Roach, Joan Villa, Ray Fox, Mary Ann Elliott, George Kost, Myrtle Flowers and Helen Beaumont. Members sang "Happy Birthday." Members recognized the June anniversaries of Jim and Marlene Hare, Chuck and Josie Elliott, Ray and Ruth Fox and Walter and Margaret Klepaldo.
House Chair Mary Margaret Klepadlo provided red, white and blue decorations for the Fourth of July theme. Historian Brenda Edwards took pictures of the new members and of members dancing with the Donahues for the club scrapbook.
Hospitality Chair Jim Hare gave prizes to Josie Elliott, Jack Cummings, Chuck Elliott, Betty Flowers and John Geary. Marlene Hare awarded two dinners, compliments of Undo's, to Jackie Zaslocke and Larry Purks. Billie Diety won an Eat'n Park gift card and Sam Lescallette won a Wal-Mart gift card. Jack Cummings awarded the 50/25/25 drawing to Alma Wansack and Mary Hvizdak.
Tyson gave the benediction, and the meeting was adjourned.
