Brooke selling season tickets
WELLSBURG - Brooke football season ticket will be available in the athletic office from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Monday through Aug. 15. The cost is $20 per set with seating contracts. Current season ticket holders must pick up their tickets no later than Aug. 15 in order to retain their current seating.
If you do not have a current seating contract, the cost is $75 per seat plus $20 for this season's tickets. Any ticket packets purchased after Aug. 15 will be $5 per game. All tickets purchased after Aug. 17 will be general admission only and $5 per seat.
In addition, parking passes for current pass holders may be picked up on Monday, Wednesday or Aug. 10.
Family seasonal fall sports athletic passes are also available in the athletic office. The pass is $50 and admits an individual family (two adults and children middle school age and younger in the same household) to all regular season home athletic events during the fall sports season except varsity football and WVSSAC or OVAC tournament games.
Brooke High Student Athletic Passes are also available for $30 and admits the student to all home regular season athletic events for the upcoming school year.
Big Red ticket pick-up
STEUBENVILLE - Big Red football season tickets can be picked up at the high school ticket office from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday and from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday.
Any changes may be made beginning Aug. 14.
The Big Red Boosters Club will sell new membership cards, NFL cards and have football schedules of all Ohio high school teams during those hours.
HMS to hold volleyball tryouts
STEUBENVILLE - Tryouts for the Harding Middle School volleyball teams will be held from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. for seventh-graders and from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. for eighth-graders Monday through Aug. 10. An updated physical form must be completed and turned in to be allowed to participate.
Spirit to hold tryouts
HOPEDALE - The Ohio Valley Spirit travel softball organization will hold tryouts for its U16 and U18 2013 travel softball teams. Tryouts will be held at the Hopedale American Legion field.

The organization is also looking for a U16 head coach. Any one interested should contact Shultz. Short interviews and background checks will be conducted for coaching candidates.
Koval records an ace
UNIONPORT - Lucas Koval recorded a hole-in-one at Red Oaks Golf Course. The 12-year-old Steubenville resident used a 3-iron on the 112-yard par 3 fourth hole. It was his first time on a regulation golf course. The shot was witnessed by Sam Porreca.
