Crews with the Wheeling & Lake Erie Railway of Brewster, Ohio and American Demolition of Canton, Ohio worked to replace a section of track that crosses Louise Street in the Cross Creek area of Brooke County Tuesday. The street and Leon Street will be closed from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. through Friday while crews ugprade the railroad to accommodate heavier loads of materials carried from the MarkWest natural gas processing plant in Houston, Pa. The Brooke County Sheriff’s Department has arranged for a sheriff’s deputy or emergency personnel member to be on hand to assist residents, who must park their vehicles on the other side of the track if they need to leave during those hours. -- Warren Scott
