WEIRTON - MazurKraemer Business Law is a tech-savvy firm specializing in a variety of areas of law.
The law offices, located at 3205 Pennsylvania Ave., Suite B, in Weirton, held a grand opening Thursday, welcoming members of the Weirton Area Chamber of Commerce, friends and family to tour the office and learn more about their services.
Originally from Weirton, owner Salene Mazur Kraemer earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from West Virginia University and graduated from the Villanova University School of Law.

She worked for a large firm in Pittsburgh for eight years, focusing on commercial bankruptcy, but left the field for two years to work in investment banking. It was her experiences during that time, she said, which led to the creation of her own practice.
"It inspired me to be a business owner and start my own firm," she said.
Mazur Kraemer began her law firm out of her home, using social media and other technology-based tools to communicate with and assist her clients across the country. Eventually, she began looking for a physical space in the community in which she was raised.

The law office specializes in bankruptcy law, litigation, business law, real estate, Internet law and strategic counseling, also consulting on operational, financial, marketing and merchandising decisions.
The firm has five employees, including Mazur Kraemer, who also spends one day each week in Pittsburgh meeting with clients in the city.
Mazur Kraemer said she is appreciative of the response her business has received so far from her hometown.
"It's been really amazing," she said. "It's been a real warm welcome."
