HIRED: Pamela Merritt has joined the staff at the Mullenbach Funeral Home, Follansbee.
Funeral director and owner Joseph M. Mullenbach said Merritt, who worked as benefits administrator in the human resources department at Wheeling-Nisshin Inc. for more than 25 years, will primarily assist families with pre-arrangement and aftercare services, though she also will assist with the newsletter and occasionally provide informational programs and seminars as a public service.
"We see ourselves as a community resource and have wanted to offer enhanced services for some time," Mullenbach said. "Since our funeral home has continued to grow each year, we felt it was a good time to offer more services and support to families we serve."
A graduate of Franciscan University of Steubenville, she passed the state insurance license exam, paving the way for her to sell pre-need funeral contracts in the Mountain State. She then spent the spring and summer in training at the funeral home.
Mullenbach Funeral Home provides a full range of services, including traditional funeral services, funeral merchandise, cremation services and faithful friends (pet) services.
