To the editor:
A number of years ago, I saw the remains of an aborted baby. What I saw wasn't a picture in a pamphlet. What I saw were the actual remains of a baby who had been alive in the womb, and then was torn apart and killed by the abortion process. Make no mistake about it - an abortion kills the life of an innocent human being. In fact, it is a biological fact that at the very moment of conception, a unique person is created, with a different genetic make-up than either parent, or anyone else ever created.
In the United States, there are more than 1 million abortions every year. Think about it, more than 1 million human beings killed each year. There is no other issue in our nation that results in the loss of over 1 million lives every year.
In our country today, there are two sides. One side says that these human beings in the womb have no right to keep living. The other side says that all life is precious, starting at the moment of conception, when life indeed does begin, and that the life in the womb must be protected. What is your choice: the side of death, or the side of life?
