ST. CLAIRSVILLE, Ohio - The Emmanuel Baptist Church will hold a Christian music concert from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Nov. 10 at the church located at 50470 National Road East.
Featured performers include vocalist Noel McCleary of Ligonier, Pa.; guitarist and singer-songwriter Kelly Unterzuber of Emmanuel Baptist; Jim Carlton Jr.; Samm Lucarelli; Kevin Lauer; and the Emmanuel Singers.

Lions to hold Veterans Day program
HICKORY, Pa. - The Hickory Lions Club will sponsor its fourth annual Veterans Day program at 1:30 p.m. Nov. 11 at Allison Memorial Auditorium at the Mount Pleasant Township Community Center, located at 20 Wabash Ave.
All veterans will be recognized, and, in a roll-call ceremony, 28 Hickory residents who died during their military service will be remembered by a family member, friend or Lion. The program is dedicated to the memory of the late John "Jack" Caldwell in recognition of his work in recognizing Hickory-area veterans.
Hickory Lions Club members, Lay Pastor Arden McCartney, pianist Toni Sears, vocalist Carolyn Smith, the local Boy Scout Troop and area residents will participate. Refreshments will follow in the Rainbow Room.
All are welcome to attend.
Library, Elks team for vets program
WELLSBURG - The Brooke County Public Library and Wellsburg Elks Lodge will team for a short Veterans Day program and spaghetti dinner to be held from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Nov. 11 at the lodge at 834 Charles St.
All veterans will eat free, with $6 charged to all others.
Library announces events
AVELLA, Pa. - The Avella Public Library will be closed Nov. 12 in observance of Veteran's Day and Nov. 22 in observance of Thanksgiving.
The library will host a Christmas craft and vendor fair from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Nov. 17, and, although the library will be open, no books will be checked out that day. The event will include food, music and 50/50 and signed Pittsburgh Steelers football drawings. Items available for sale will include decorated trees, handmade ornaments, grave blankets, 31, origami owls, embroidery, Tastefully Simple, handmade jewelry, crocheted dolls, homemade fudge, homemade candles, gourmet candy, Texas Roadhouse gift baskets, handmade tea towels and baby blankets, homegrown tie-dye and Tutus and Bows.
The library is still accepting crafters and vendors. The cost is $20 for the first table, and $15 for each additional table.

State police offer Netsmartz program
WEIRTON - The West Virginia Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force will present a Netsmartz Program at 6 p.m. Nov. 13 at the Mary H. Weir Public Library located on Main Street.
NetSmartz is an educational program developed by the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Their programs are designed for parents, teachers and school-aged youth. The programs create an awareness of potential risks, encourage dialog between children and adults about those risks, and teach children and teens how to avoid exploitation and victimization.
