BELL, Fred, 66, of Steubenville, died Thursday, November 15, 2012, at Trinity West.
He was born October 15, 1946, in Steubenville, son of the late Frederick Lee and Ruth Frances Wilson Bell.
Fred was a member of Triumph of the Cross Catholic Church, was retired from the City of Steubenville Recreation Dept. and was a graduate of Catholic Central High School, class of 1964.
Surviving are one son; Bryan Lee (Kimberly) Bell of Steubenville, two daughters, Laurie Marie (Brian) Bell Sands of Steubenville, Heidi (Nathan) Bell-Neal of Ormond Beach, FL, one brother, John Bell of Biloxi, MS, three sisters, Rosemary (Bob) Straface of Denton, TX, Sandy (Mark) Lynskey of Westerville, OH, and Marlene Bell of Steubenville. Six grandchildren, Kaitlyn Bell Neal, Rebecca Neal, Justin Bell, Maura Stoll, Aiden Stoll and Ashton Sands.
Also surviving are his long time companion; Glenna Kennedy, his ex wife, Cathy Bell, his loving nieces and nephews, and many dear and close friends.
Fred, a 42-year member of the Polish Athletic Club, served as the late sergeant at arms and past president. He was also a long time member of the Steubenville Men's Golf Club. Fred was an avid Steelers, Notre Dame and CCHS fan.
Calling hours are Sunday 1-4 and 6-8 p.m. at the Mosti Funeral Home, Sunset Chapel, 4435 Sunset Blvd., Steubenville.
A Funeral Liturgy with Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at Holy Rosary Catholic Church, Fr. Tom Nau, celebrant. Burial at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
There will be a vigil service 3:45 p.m. Sunday.
