WEIRTON - The Weirton Hospital Retirees Organization recently held their fall meeting at Gio's with Donna Latkiewicz presiding.
The Singing Nuns were unable to perform because of a schedule conflict, but Carrie Oliver Shultz agreed to fill in. Shultz gave a vocal performance, "Broadway Musical," including songs such as "Give My Regards to Broadway," "I Could Have Danced All Night" from "The King and I," "Everything is Coming Up Roses" from "Gypsy," "Memories" from "Cats" and "Think of Me" from "Phantom of the Opera."
A short business meeting was held, and Josie Glauser, Rhadine Ross, Donna Karas and Cathy Colbert gave reports. New member Marian Tepel was introduced, and Helen Bright was welcomed back. Jeri Licause won the 50/50 drawing. Members shared several "Stories to Brighten Your Day." Latkiewicz discussed a bus tour to Atlantic City Dec. 4. For information, call Joyce Barnhart at (304) 748-4657.
The Christmas party will be held Dec. 11 at Gio's and features a buffet luncheon. Members will receive a flyer, and Latkiewicz reminded members they must call and make their reservation.
Reservations will not be taken at the door, and the Telephone Committee will not be contacting membership for reservations.
